6 Files Per Package
Description
Advanced Rotary System Designed for Conservative Endodontics
EZ-SHAPER PRO is a comprehensive rotary file system consisting of three primary files, designed in accordance with the principles of conservative endodontics and modern endodontic protocols.
This system is specifically engineered for high-complexity root canal cases, including canals with severe calcification, sharp curvatures, or a combination of both challenges.
In such demanding clinical situations, EZ-SHAPER PRO demonstrates highly reliable and predictable performance, allowing clinicians to maintain control, preserve dentin, and achieve efficient shaping with confidence.
Primary Files of the EZ-SHAPER PRO System
EZ1 – Progressive Taper Glide Path File
The first file in the system, EZ1, features a progressive taper design, allowing gradual and controlled canal enlargement while respecting the original canal anatomy.
EZ1 is coated with a nano diamond-like carbon coating, giving the file its distinctive rainbow-like appearance.
This coating enhances:
• Cutting efficiency
• Wear resistance
• Overall file durability
As a result, EZ1 provides smooth progression within the canal while minimizing unnecessary dentin removal.
EZ2 and EZ3 – Constant Taper Blue CM Files
The second and third files in the system, EZ2 and EZ3, are designed with constant taper geometry:
• EZ2: #20, 4% taper
• EZ3: #25, 4% taper
Both files are manufactured from Blue Controlled Memory (CM) alloy, delivering exceptionally high flexibility and fatigue resistance.
In the updated EZ-SHAPER PRO system, the cross-sectional design of these files has been refined to provide increased cutting efficiency compared to the previous generation, while fully preserving the flexibility characteristics of the Blue CM alloy.
This balance ensures high cutting efficiency with safe shaping, even in severely curved canals.
Auxiliary Files for Selective and Adaptive Shaping
In addition to the three primary files, EZ-SHAPER PRO includes three auxiliary files, allowing clinicians to customize shaping based on clinical objectives.
EZx – Orifice Opener
EZx functions as an orifice opener with a 7% taper and a 0.15 mm tip size, making it highly effective for coronal enlargement, particularly in MB2 canals and heavily calcified cases.
Key characteristics:
• Designed for efficient coronal shaping
• High cutting efficiency (featuring a convex triangular cross-section)
• Manufactured from Gold heat-treated alloy
The thermal treatment applied to EZx creates its gold coloration and significantly improves both flexibility and fracture resistance, ensuring safe penetration in challenging coronal anatomy.
EZ4 (20/6%) and EZ5 (35/3%) – Selective Finishing Files
In many clinical cases, treatment can be completed using only the three primary files (EZ1, EZ2, EZ3).
However, when the clinician wishes to modify canal taper or enlarge the apical portion, EZ4 and EZ5 work effectively.
• EZ4 (20/6%) is used for selective shaping when increasing canal taper is desired to facilitate obturation.
• EZ5 (35/3%) is intended for cases where the clinician wants to increase apical size without excessive coronal dentin removal, such as canals associated with periapical lesions.
Due to its taper design, EZ5 shapes only the apical few millimeters of the canal and avoids unnecessary removal of pericoronal dentin, helping preserve natural canal anatomy and tooth structure.
Gutta-Percha Selection and Obturation Compatibility
Within the EZ-SHAPER PRO system, EZ1 is the only file with a progressive taper.
All subsequent files (EZ2, EZ3, EZ4, and EZ5) feature constant tapers.
This design greatly simplifies master cone selection following canal shaping.
Clinicians do not need proprietary or system-specific gutta-percha cones; instead, they can simply select a standard gutta-percha cone that matches the size and taper of the final rotary file used.
Obturation Techniques and Clinical Flexibility
• When canal shaping is finalized with EZ3 (25/4%), obturation is typically performed using the Single Cone technique.
• If the clinician plans to perform Warm Vertical Condensation and requires further penetration of the heat carrier, EZ4 (20/6%) becomes particularly useful.
By slightly increasing canal taper, EZ4 enables:
• Improved heat carrier or spreader penetration
• More controlled compaction
• Predictable and dense obturation
This adaptability makes EZ-SHAPER PRO compatible with a wide range of obturation strategies while maintaining conservative shaping principles.

Instructions
Instructions for Use – EZ-SHAPER PRO
EZ-SHAPER PRO rotary files are designed for safe, controlled, and predictable shaping of complex root canal systems. To achieve optimal performance and reduce the risk of file separation, follow the instructions below.
1. Access & Glide Path Preparation
• Achieve a proper access cavity before introducing rotary instruments.
• Establish a secure and reproducible glide path using a #10 stainless steel K-file.
• Confirm working length and canal patency prior to rotary instrumentation, or utilize a crown-down approach in complex cases.
• Rotary files should never be used without an established glide path.
2. Coronal Shaping (Optional)
• In cases with calcified canals, use EZx (Orifice Opener) for coronal shaping.
• Apply light pressure and short brushing motions to remove coronal interferences.
• Avoid deep penetration with EZx beyond the coronal third.
3. Shaping Sequence with Primary Files
• Begin shaping with EZ1 (Progressive Taper) using gentle in-and-out movements.
• Allow the file to advance passively along the canal curvature.
• Continue shaping with EZ2 (20/4%) followed by EZ3 (25/4%), depending on canal anatomy and treatment goals.
• Do not force the file apically; withdraw immediately if resistance is felt.
Recommended motor settings:
• Speed: 300–400 rpm
• Torque: 2–3 N·cm
4. Irrigation & Canal Maintenance
• Irrigate generously and frequently using sodium hypochlorite.
• Clean file flutes after each insertion using gauze soaked in alcohol or irrigant.
• Maintain apical patency using a #10 K-file between rotary steps.
5. Selective Shaping with Auxiliary Files
• EZ4 (20/6%) may be used for selective shaping when increased canal taper is desired for obturation.
• EZ5 (35/3%) is indicated when preserving apical size is critical, such as in canals with periapical lesions. EZ5 shapes only the apical portion of the canal, minimizing unnecessary coronal dentin removal.
6. Obturation Considerations
• When shaping is finalized with EZ3 (25/4%), obturation is typically performed using the Single Cone technique.
• For Lateral or Warm Vertical Condensation, use EZ4 (20/6%) to facilitate safer and deeper penetration of spreaders or heat carriers.
• Select standard gutta-percha cones that match the size and taper of the final rotary file used.
7. Safety & Single-Use Recommendation
• Inspect files frequently for signs of deformation, unwinding, or fatigue.
• Discontinue use immediately if any defect is observed.
• Single-use is strongly recommended to ensure safety and optimal cutting performance.
• Dispose of used files according to clinical sharps protocols.
