EZ-Shaper®

Description

EZ-shaper® is an innovative 3-file kit designed by Dr. Kalantar Motamedi (endodontist) for the preparation of calcified and curved canals, based on the concepts of minimally invasive endodontics. Each file has a different heat treatment, cross-section, cutting efficiency, and flexibility.

EZ-Shaper® contains 3 main files:

EZ1 (15/v.03-.06): A variable taper glidepath file with a rainbow-like color, resulting from the deposition of a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating. DLC is used in biomedical applications to enhance the properties of metallic materials, such as their life cycle and hardness. Thanks to this technology and the square cross-section, this file has excellent cutting efficiency. If you are a fan of ProGlider®, you can easily substitute it with EZ1, which benefits from the latest generation of NiTi heat-activated materials.

EZ2 (20/.04): It is a fixed taper and size of #20/.04 file with an S-shaped cross-section and high cutting efficiency. It has high flexibility due to the blue color material.

EZ3 (25/.04): It is the last file of the kit, with a fixed taper and size of #25/.04. It has a parallelogram cross-section and blue material with high flexibility.

This kit comes with 2 additional files (optional to use):

EZx (15/.07): This 19mm conservative opener helps achieve a good straight-line angle in the coronal third of the root canal. It’s also an ideal choice for locating MB2 canals.

EZ4 (35/.03): This additional file serves as an apical shaper, aiming to increase the apical portion size without removing more dentin from the pericervical area. This file may be particularly useful in necrotic cases.
